Fred Perry is one of the most iconic and influential British brands of all time. Best known for blending streetwear, sportswear and casual style, the brand made its debut in 1952 with the now-legendary polo shirt. At first it was available only in two colours - black and white - but quickly became a massive success. As a three-time Wimbledon champion, Fred Perry originally designed his polos as sportswear, which is why the brand is still strongly connected with tennis today.
The famous laurel wreath logo stands for victory, triumph and the prestige of the world’s greatest tennis tournament. Over the years, Fred Perry became a symbol for many British subcultures and soon caught the attention of countless celebrities. Style icons like Paul Weller, Vinnie Jones, Ewan McGregor, Kelly Jones and plenty of music bands chose the laurel wreath for its authenticity, timeless design and attitude.
