Old Town Stadium - Stadion Dziesięciolecia in the Three Stroke collection
History and sense of belonging
Some time ago Three Stroke Productions dropped a T-shirt collection called Old Town Stadium Project. The tees feature designs of legendary stadiums in their original form as well as local grounds of lesser-known clubs. Among the first group you’ll find San Siro in Milan (showing four stages of its expansion, starting from 1926), Boleyn Ground in London (the historic home of West Ham United), De Meer Stadium in Amsterdam (demolished in 1998, a place of Johan Cruyff’s greatest triumphs), the historic Stadio Olimpico in Rome (designed in 1927 under the name Stadio dei Cipressi) and of course Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid (built in 1944, originally named Chamartín). When it comes to local stadiums, highlights include Giuseppe Moccagatta Stadium in Alessandria (built in 1929 after the local team’s promotion to Serie A, since 2018 the home ground of Juventus U23) and Oosterpark Stadium in Groningen (closed in 2005, it hosted among others two games of the Dutch national team). This collection pays tribute to these arenas that witnessed many legendary and unforgettable moments.
Stadion Dziesięciolecia in Warsaw
The collection also includes a Polish touch - Stadion Dziesięciolecia in Warsaw. Opened in 1955, it could hold up to 71,008 people. Interestingly, the opening game was between the city teams of Warsaw and Katowice. The stadium hosted plenty of sports events including matches of the Polish national team, Polish Cup finals and athletics competitions, and even welcomed Pope John Paul II. After financial struggles due to high maintenance costs, it was bought back by the city. For the next several years it became one of the biggest marketplaces in Europe. Stadion Dziesięciolecia was without doubt a legendary spot not only in Warsaw but also in Poland and across Europe.
The black tees are made of 100% cotton with the latest printing techniques used for the logo. Produced in Italy, the quality speaks for itself. A branded Three Stroke tag is also stitched into the side seam.
The Stadion Dziesięciolecia design is available at Casual Authentic in a limited edition. Every tee comes with free stickers from Three Stroke Productions: Keep Your Head Up - Never Forget Where You Came From.
